The Bridge
a role you keep taking without being asked
You perceive what has not been said in a room and you cannot easily un-perceive it. You end up joining things — people, ideas, sides of an argument — and the work is done quietly enough that other people take the credit for the peace.
What it looks like in a life
Ending up in the middle of things you did not choose to be in the middle of, and watching the peace get credited to nobody.
Where it comes from

What it is not
Not peacekeeping or people-pleasing. A bridge joins two real places; smoothing something over joins nothing.
